About me
Julia Horton holds a Masters in Linguistics with a concentration in pragmatics and discourse analysis. In her final semester as a graduate student, she learned how to program with Perl for a Digital Humanities class. Since then, she’s only become more curious about computers, how we communicate with them, and how we communicate with others through them. This curiosity took on a spiritual dimension when she moved to New Orleans the following summer—steeped in the city’s mysticism, how could it not? Now she seeks to unify her Taoist beliefs and background in chaos magick with her interest in programming and artificial intelligence in a philosophy of divine machinery informed by the work of Terry Davis, Ray Kurzweil, and Ray Peat.
