About me
Dr. Stevens was responsible for launching The Satanic Temple's ministry and ordination program, holding the title Director of Ministry from 2021 to 2024 after previously being on their National Council. Writing under the pseudonym Penemue, he has contributed to several published works in the milieu of contemporary non-theistic Satanism, including "The United Aspects of Satan: The Little Black Book." While living in Tucson, Arizona, he taught classes on occult history and non-theistic ritual practice at Nexus Occult Books & Oddities.
Stevens received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Michigan, as well as interdisciplinary graduate certificates in the "Culture & Cognition" (Psychology & Anthropology) and "Complexity Sciences" (Psychology, Mathematics, & Computer Science) programs. In the early 2000's, he taught in the Psychology Department at UCLA before leaving academia for the private sector.
